Performance Psychology:
Not Just for Athletes

Professional athletes need to deliver a star performance every time they compete. But any athlete will tell you success isn't just about physical ability; mental and emotional control is a huge part of being able to bring their best under extreme pressure. What could it mean for the performance of your organization if your people adopted the same techniques as star athletes?

We hope you made it to our session at ATD this year! We were excited to explore how performance psychology could be applied  and make a real difference – in the corporate world.

To summarize our session briefly we explored:

  • The techniques that professional athletes use to regulate their emotions and responses to stress
  • Examples of how to apply these techniques in your organizations using our ACAAP model
  • The importance of developing the full individual – their emotional and mental wellbeing – to harness the potential of your workforce
